Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Osteopath?

An osteopath is a university-trained allied health professional who assesses, diagnoses and treats musculoskeletal pain and injuries. We focus on how the body moves and functions as a whole - looking at joints, muscles, nerves and connective tissue, and how they’re interacting. We take the whole person into account. You’re history, needs and context all matter.
A whole person approach means we aren't just looking for the symptom of pain and discomfort in isolation, we're looking towards addressing the cause itself.
